Postponement of the Summit Scheduled Between Putin and Trump

Khaberni - The Russian President's assistant, Yuri Ushakov, in a conversation with journalist Pavel Zarubin, stated that the Russian-American summit scheduled in Budapest has been postponed.

Ushakov, as reported by the Russian news agency "TASS", said: "The meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump has been postponed for some time, and communications are ongoing in this regard."

The Russian President's assistant confirmed that the agreements reached in Anchorage are a good means to achieve a peaceful settlement.

Ushakov stated that "we are proactively talking about the Ukrainian settlement, based on the understanding reached in the city of Anchorage (in the state of Alaska, USA)."

Ushakov added: "We believe that this is indeed the correct path to achieving a peaceful settlement."

It is worth noting that on October 16 last year, American President Donald Trump stated after a phone call with the Russian President that they had agreed to meet in Budapest soon, and the summit was subsequently postponed.
