Khaberni - The Greater Amman Municipality and the Civil Status and Passports Department signed a joint cooperation agreement today, Sunday, to improve the quality of services provided to citizens and ease their transactions, by leasing the old building of Wadi Al-Seer area owned by the municipality to the Civil Status and Passports Department, converting it to a Civil Status and Passports office for Wadi Al-Seer
The agreement was signed by Dr. Youssef Shawarbeh, head of the Greater Amman Municipality committee, and Ghayth Ghazi Al-Tayeb, the Director General of the Civil Status and Passports Department, at the municipality building, with the presence of Wael Tamlieh, Assistant Director General of Passports, Eng. Ziad Al-Reehani, Vice President of the Amman committee, Eng. Ahmed Al-Malkawi, the city director and a number of concerned parties
Shawarbeh said that we appreciate the efforts of the Civil Status and Passports Department in providing its services to the citizens through a network of offices spread across the kingdom efficiently and effectively.
He confirmed that the Amman Municipality seeks to elevate the level of services provided to the city of Amman and its citizens, and improve their lives, through saving time and effort in completing all transactions.
He added that the municipality, in line with its institutional approach, is keen to build strategic partnerships with all state institutions, from various sectors, with the aim of elevating the level of services provided to the citizens.
Shawarbeh mentioned that the fruitful cooperation between Amman Municipality and the Civil Status and Passports Department is proof of our joint commitment toward serving the citizen.
In turn, Al-Tayeb said that the partnership with Greater Amman Municipality is considered a model for institutional cooperation aimed at enhancing government services, and enabling the department to expand its locations to meet the needs of citizens.
He emphasized that the new building will contribute to enhancing the readiness of the department and expand its capacity to provide services to citizens, by providing a suitable work environment and the technical and administrative preparations necessary to serve the visitors.
He pointed out that the department continues to implement its plans to improve the infrastructure of its offices in various locations, whether through introducing maintenance and rehabilitation work on existing buildings, or renting alternative buildings that meet the operational and technical requirements necessary, ensuring the continuity of providing service at the optimal level to the citizens.
Al-Tayeb appreciated the achievements of Amman Municipality in terms of developing infrastructure, improving services provided to citizens, and enhancing digital transformation in its various service and regulatory sectors, praising its cooperation through allocating a building in the Wadi Al-Seer area for the benefit of the Civil Status and Passports Department, in a step that embodies the spirit of cooperation between institutions to serve the citizens and facilitate their transactions.
According to the agreement, the Civil Status and Passports Department will lease
the old Wadi Al-Seer area building owned by Amman Municipality, and convert it into an office for Civil Status of Wadi Al-Seer, aimed at providing civil and passport services to the residents of the area, efficiently and effectively, reducing the pressure on other passport offices which contributes to achieving satisfaction for the service recipients.
The signing of the agreement comes within the framework of joint cooperation between Amman Municipality and all national institutions, and stemming from the municipality's pursuit to improve the quality of the services provided to the citizens.
