Citizens in the town of Mu'tah, Karak, are calling on the relevant authorities in traffic management to urgently find solutions on the road to Mu'tah University, following repeated accidents in the area.
Journalist Bashar Al-Habashneh posted a video that he recorded himself documenting the defect, Khaberni, at the Mu’tah University roundabout towards the university, now known as the Martyr Muath or the Airplane Roundabout.
Al-Habashneh revealed that there is a real danger at this roundabout due to a technical malfunction in the design, which increases traffic accidents and causes blood and material losses, Khaberni, which requires the authorities concerned to find a quick solution for these repeated accidents.
Al-Habashneh disclosed a real danger that surprises drivers as vehicles coming from the roundabout surprise those coming from the opposite area, leading to undesirable consequences.
Al-Habashneh recorded a video of buses transporting students toward the university, thereby revealing that the length of the bus intrudes on the opposite vehicles waiting to enter the roundabout, Khaberni, due to the narrowness of the roundabout and the existence of a design flaw causing direct crash accidents.
Amjad Majali commented and published a plan for the layout of the roundabout showing the defect on the roundabout, stating that it must be redesigned and the path corrected, while others called for the placement of a traffic light and greater monitoring by the authorities responsible for traffic..
Abu Wissam Khalil Admour, Khaberni, as an eyewitness residing near the roundabout, said that the roundabout is filled, on a daily basis, with repeated accidents, demanding that the relevant authorities fix the defect.
Recently, the nearby areas witnessed repeated accidents, the latest being a vehicle fire resulting from a crash, while a young man was hospitalized following an accident due to a race between drivers, which ignited social media platforms and prompted calls to the Ministry of Interior and the Public Security to put an end to the accidents and control the violations, followed by a video of a new accident at the airplane roundabout on our website
