Khaberni - During Tuesday's parliamentary session, the first clash occurred between the speaker of the council, Mazen Al-Qadi, and the deputy Saleh Armouti, leader of the Islamic Action Front bloc, during the discussions of the first reading of the general budget law for the year 2026.
At the beginning of the session, Al-Qadi announced, according to Khaberni, that it had been agreed within the council's executive office to allow only four deputies from each parliamentary bloc to speak, and each speaker would have three minutes, a decision that Armouti objected to.
Armouti protested the decision Khaberni, asserting that every deputy has the right to speak under the dome, citing the Constitution and demanding the cancellation of the time limit and allowing it to remain open-ended.
This occurred after the Minister of Finance, Abdel Hakim Al-Shibli, delivered the budget speech, amidst anticipation for the approval of the project in its first reading and its subsequent referral to the finance committee after the election of its members.
