Closure of a university mosque in northern Jordan outside prayer times causes discontent

Khaberni - The decision of the administration of one of the government universities in northern Jordan, which orders the closure of the mosque inside the university campus outside prayer times, has created a state of discontent among students, especially with the absence of any official clarification Khaberni from the university presidency about the reasons for the measure.

According to a notice posted on the mosque's doors, the decision specifies that the mosque will be closed between prayers and will only be opened for performing prayers, to be locked immediately after completion "until further notice", Khaberni which raised many questions among the students about the justifications and motives for the decision.
The decision provoked a wave of discontent among several students, staff, and faculty members, as they expressed their dissatisfaction with restricting access to the mosque, pointing out that the nature of lectures or job commitments may sometimes prevent them from performing prayer on time, requiring the presence of a permanently open space inside the university campus to enable them to perform the duty.
The students of the concerned university asked their university administration to reconsider the decision, or to clarify its reasons, emphasizing the importance of the mosque as a vital facility in their university environment.
