Khaberni - A Qatar-funded news site reported that the Emirati authorities decided to deport a Palestinian engineer who has been residing in the country for over 20 years, following his refusal to drink a "Pepsi" bottle during a birthday celebration for one of his colleagues at a government company headquarters in Abu Dhabi, under the pretext of "boycott".
According to the site, the Palestinian engineer was surprised when, two days after the incident, he was summoned to a security entity, where he was informed that he had to leave the country within a few days, which indeed happened.
The engineer was forced to liquidate his business and withdraw his children from schools before departing for Jordan, where he holds a temporary passport issued by.
