Khaberni - Residents in the Tafileh Governorate recalled Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan's promise to them to study the establishment of a cable car in the governorate, during his visit in May last year.
Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan had promised to study a project for the establishment of a cable car in Tafileh Governorate and tasked Minister of Tourism Lina Annab on May 28th of the current year to follow up on the project.
In mid-June of the same year, Annab decided to form a committee including the Director of Tafileh Tourism Department, and the engineers (Raham Majdalawi, Aya Hadaya, and Isra Al-Masha'leh), a representative of the General Department of Antiquities, a representative from the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature, and a representative from the Tafila City Reconstruction Corporation, to study the project.
The task assigned to Annab included studying the project in terms of location and the suitable place for its establishment, and suggestions to clarify the route of the cable car.
