Khaberni - The Governor of Madaba Hasan Al-Jabour decided this evening to open the street passing in front of the building where a deep hole filled with sewage water was discovered below it, following recommendations from the technical committees.
The governor told the Jordanian news agency "Petra" that the decision to open came after the Madaba Greater Municipality conducted technical inspections of the street and the pavements adjacent to the building by a specialized company, which confirmed that there are no gaps in the street and pavements, and based on this, the specialized committee in the Royal Scientific Society recommended that there is no danger in using the street.
He added that the decision to evacuate the building continues until the completion of technical examinations around it and the results of the samples appear.
The street and the building had been closed two days ago after the discovery of a pit below one of the buildings near the Directorate of Civil Status building, believed to be an ancient cave, to protect the lives of residents and due to the extension of the hole under the building and the street.
