AlHunaiti Inaugurates the Administrative Complex Building at the Martyrs Monument

Khaberni - The Chief of the Joint Staff, Major General Yousef Al-Hunaiti, on Thursday, oversaw the graduation of the war correspondent course at the Military Media Training Institute, and he was received by the Assistant for Administration and Human Resources and the Director of Military Media.

Major General Al-Hunaiti listened to a briefing presented by the Director of Military Media, which discussed the modernization plans implemented by the directorate. These plans translated the general command's directives in developing the capabilities of military media and enhancing its professional readiness to meet the requirements of fieldwork and contributed to documenting defensive, humanitarian, and relief military efforts and delivering them with credibility and professionalism. Additionally, it had boosted the professional and technical capabilities of the directorate through training programs and qualification, media production, and management of digital platforms, enhancing its media readiness under various operational conditions.

The war correspondent course, which lasted three weeks, aimed to develop the participants' capabilities and enable them to perform media coverage tasks professionally in different operational environments, through theoretical and practical training programs that included the arts of field journalism, improving physical fitness, first aid, dealing with explosives and mines, in addition to conducting live shooting exercises within scenarios that mimic the operational reality.

The Chief of the Joint Staff emphasized the pivotal role of military media in documenting field efforts and transmitting facts with professionalism and efficiency. He also highlighted the necessity of countering misinformation campaigns and rumors, noting the importance of adhering to military discipline, security awareness, and bearing national responsibility in delivering and transferring the media message to the ranks of the armed forces to enhance the values of loyalty and belonging among them.

The patron of the ceremony and the audience watched several historical military films produced by the Military Media Directorate, including a documentary film about the 1973 war, a film about the Royal Air Force's Eagles, in addition to launching a website that documents the gravesites of Jordanian martyrs in Palestine, which reflects the depth of the national and historical message of military media.

In a related context, Major General Al-Hunaiti inaugurated the Administrative Complex building at the Martyrs' Monument - Amman, aimed at developing the administrative infrastructure and improving institutional performance efficiency, aligning with the adopted modernization and development plans.

At the end of the visit, attended by several senior officers of the armed forces, the Chief of the Joint Staff awarded certificates to the deserving graduates of the course and wrote a note in the guest book.
