Khaberni - The Spanish club Barcelona continued its movements to finalize the deal to sign the English star Marcus Rashford on a permanent basis, after the player became one of the top priorities of technical director Hansi Flick in the coming period.
The British network caughtoffside said: "Rashford, who has been performing exceptionally since his move to Barcelona and has excelled on the left flank, quickly succeeded in gaining the trust of the technical staff and his teammates in the changing room, which prompted the management to seriously consider keeping him in the long term."
It added: "The 28-year-old English star has scored 6 goals and provided 7 assists in 14 games this season, in figures that reflect his technical value and his ability to make a difference, which made Flick push hard on the board to complete the deal permanently."
However, the financial aspect represents the greatest challenge for Barcelona, according to the report, especially after the player's contract was renewed with Manchester United in the summer of 2023 at a very high value, which exceeds the limits of fair financial play in the Spanish league.
The club is seeking to offer a lower basic salary with compensatory bonuses and incentives linked to performance and image rights.
If Rashford agrees to this new financial structure, the deal may be announced during the upcoming winter transfer market, especially since the player has shown a clear desire to continue his career in the Spanish leagues.
Financially, Barcelona is prepared to pay 30 million euros, which is slightly less than the buy-out clause in Rashford’s contract, which amounts to 35 million euros.
Despite this, Barcelona will face fierce competition from major European clubs that wish to sign the player, notably Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Inter Milan, as well as Chelsea and Arsenal who are anticipating the possibility of his return to the English league.
Despite the obstacles, sources indicate that the strong relationship between Rashford and Flick, and the player's sense of confidence and support in Barcelona, make the Catalan club the most likely destination for him if the administration succeeds in resolving the financial crisis.
