Khaberni - A circulating video on social media sparked controversy in Egypt after a group of children in Sohag governorate were seen climbing a "Tesla Cybertruck," and some of them standing on top in an unusual scene.
The video, which quickly spread on social platforms, shows dozens of children surrounding the luxury vehicle and chasing it on the road, amidst festive atmosphere reflecting the locals' enthusiasm, while some children were seen jumping onto the vehicle and taking joyful photos with its arrival.
According to what was circulated by internet users and local reports, the vehicle belongs to businessman Mohamed Khalaf Allah, a candidate for the Egyptian House of Representatives elections, with these shots taken during one of his campaign tours in Upper Egypt.
Although the scene seemed like a spontaneous folk celebration, the way the children interacted raised widespread concerns about safety standards and organization during electoral events.
Comments on social media were divided between those who saw what happened as evidence of the candidate's popularity and a warm reception in the villages, and those who criticized the scene as an unsafe act that exposes children to danger, especially with them standing on a moving vehicle.
