Khaberni - The Amman Chamber of Commerce and the Jordanian-Emirati Businesswomen Council signed, today, Sunday, a joint cooperation memorandum aimed at enhancing cooperation frameworks and partnership between businesswomen in the two brotherly countries.
The memorandum of understanding, signed by the head of the chamber Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq and the council's chairwoman Dr. Amal Al-Hadabi, stipulates cooperation between the two sides and joint efforts to achieve positive results in exchanging information, investment opportunities, and future projects.
According to a statement from the chamber today, Sunday, the cooperation memorandum will entail exchanging reports and studies in areas of mutual interest and preparing joint studies by agreement, exchanging invitations between both parties to participate in programs for delegation visits of mutual interest, and suggesting appropriate methods to overcome any challenges facing the trade exchanges between the two countries.
The memorandum also provides for exchanging invitations between the parties to participate in programs for visiting delegations of mutual interest, suggesting suitable means to overcome any obstacles in support of trade exchange and economic cooperation between the UAE and Jordan, developing and implementing joint initiatives to enhance economic and commercial awareness among the members.
It also emphasizes cooperation in implementing educational campaigns, programs, activities, and exhibitions to support the members, exchanging invitations to participate in organized events and activities of mutual interest, supporting creative skills and innovation through institutional partnership, and promoting events and initiatives of both sides by various means.
Al-Haj Tawfiq emphasized the importance of qualitative cooperation between businesswomen in Jordan and the UAE, indicating that the memorandum represents a new launch to activate the partnership and introduce initiatives that serve women in the commercial and service sector.
He mentioned that the ongoing cooperation between the two sides will contribute to the exchange of expertise and enhance joint investment opportunities, reflecting the strength of Jordanian-Emirati relations and the commitment of both parties to support women's entrepreneurship.
He affirmed that this partnership represents a strategic step towards the economic empowerment of women and enhancing sustainable cooperation between Jordan and the UAE in the entrepreneurship field, pointing to the importance of educational campaigns and training programs that will be implemented to enhance economic and commercial awareness among women in both countries.
In this context, Al-Haj Tawfiq stressed the need for joint work to organize sectoral meetings and future business forums that bring together businesswomen and businessmen from both countries, with the aim of exploring cooperation opportunities in promising sectors and enhancing direct communication between investors, highlighting that these meetings will contribute to expanding partnership horizons and developing joint entrepreneurial projects that support the economies of both Jordan and the UAE, and reinforcing economic integration between them.
For her part, Dr. Al-Hadabi expressed her pride in the depth of Jordanian-Emirati relations and the importance of uniting efforts to enhance the role of Arab women in the economic scene, emphasizing that the council seeks to build sustainable bridges for regional cooperation in the field of entrepreneurship.
Dr. Al-Hadabi explained that the unification of efforts between the two parties aims to build sustainable bridges for regional cooperation in the field of entrepreneurship, indicating that the memorandum provides an ideal platform for exchanging information and expertise between the council and chamber members, encouraging them to participate in joint programs and events that support the development of their skills.
Dr. Al-Hadabi revealed the council's intention to hold a conference on "Artificial Intelligence and Women in Entrepreneurship" in Amman next April, in cooperation with Jordanian entities, to be the first of its kind in Jordan, mentioning that the council plans to organize a second edition of the conference in the UAE regularly, to enhance the exchange of expertise and support the empowerment of women in technology and entrepreneurship fields.
Dr. Al-Hadabi added that the council intends to establish an honorary advisory board comprising prominent business figures and representatives from the public and private sectors in both countries, with the aim of enhancing communication and unifying efforts to support joint economic initiatives and empower women in the Arab business environment.
The signing of the cooperation memorandum was attended by Falah Al-Saghier, a board member of the chamber, and from the Jordanian-Emirati Businesswomen's Council, Asil Hajawi, Suzan Al-Muayta, Dr. In’am Odeh, Dr. Suheila Al-Naimi, and from the Businesswomen's Council of Amman Chamber of Commerce, Nadia Dajani and Khulood Dakkhan, and the general manager of the chamber, Ghaleb Hajazi.
It is noted that the number of individual institutions registered in Amman Chamber of Commerce and owned by women reached 3,298 institutions, while the number of women partners in institutions and companies was 10,806 partners.
