Khaberni - The Minister of Social Development, Wafaa Bani Mustafa, this Sunday morning, inspected the Sahab Center for Integrative Day Services during a surprise inspection visit, as part of the field visits to centers and units affiliated with the ministry.
During her visit to the center, Bani Mustafa reviewed the reality of the services provided to the beneficiaries and the programs implemented for persons with disabilities.
Bani Mustafa emphasized the importance of providing the best possible care for people with disabilities who are beneficiaries of the center, and called for more efforts to serve them, which will positively reflect on their integration and development of their capacities and skills. The services provided include early intervention for children with disabilities from birth up to the age of six; special education and speech therapy, occupational therapy, and family counseling. The integrative day service center for the age group of six years and older provides training and rehabilitation services, preparation for educational and social integration, in addition to physical and occupational therapy, speech therapy, and family counseling.
Bani Mustafa also visited the Directorate of Social Development and the branch of the National Aid Fund in Sahab, where she reviewed the reality and level of services provided to citizens.
She directed the staff of the directorate and the fund to facilitate procedures for visitors, and assist the targeted groups in accessing services easily and smoothly, especially the elderly and people with disabilities.
During her visits to the directorate and the branch of the fund in Sahab, Bani Mustafa met with several visitors, listened to their remarks and requests, and instructed the staff of the directorate and the branch of the fund to process transactions for citizens promptly, and guide them regarding the procedures related to their requests.
