Khaberni - The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mazen Al-Qadi, called the permanent office members to a meeting on Sunday, in an effort to resolve the crisis of distributing deputies' offices, which is still pending.
Information indicates that a number of former permanent office members refused to vacate their offices, justifying this by their unwillingness to move to offices located on the upper floors of the council building. This situation led to the obstruction of the office handover to the new permanent office members and resulted in some deputies remaining without offices until now.
Informed sources confirmed that the council's general secretariat has not been successful in managing the file in an organized manner, and has not made a decisive decision to address the situation, causing chaos and tension among a number of deputies, and forcing President Al-Qadi to intervene personally to address the crisis.
It is noted that the responsibility of organizing and distributing the deputies' offices originally belongs to the general secretariat, and is not within the competence of the speaker, making his intervention an exception imposed by the current circumstances.
