Khaberni - The spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, Mahmoud Hayasat, confirmed that public schools will start implementing the new circular related to adjusting the school hours, due to the delayed sunrise during this period, pointing out that this system will continue to operate until the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan.
Hayasat explained that the decision aims to protect students and provide a safe educational environment, noting that the Ministry considered the weather and seasonal conditions at this time. He clarified that private schools are exempt from the decision due to their particularity and their own touring system.
According to the circular, the school day in single-session schools will begin with the morning assembly at 8:15 AM, with the first class starting at 8:30 AM, and each class lasting 45 minutes. In schools with two sessions, the morning assembly starts at 8:15 AM and the first class at 8:30 AM, while the assembly for the afternoon session begins at 12:50 PM, and the first class starts at 1:00 PM.
Hayasat mentioned that school doors will be open for students between 7:30 and 7:45 AM, with directives issued to the Departments of Education and schools to strictly adhere to the new schedules.
