Khaberni - A Palestinian boy was martyred after being hit by live bullets early Friday morning during an Israeli occupation forces raid on the town of Silwad east of Ramallah, while occupation forces also conducted raids in Nablus, Qalqilyah, and Bethlehem.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces entered the town of Silwad and clashes erupted at the entrance of the town, during which the forces fired live ammunition and toxic and sound gas bombs, resulting in the injury of Yamin Samid Hamed (15 years old), who was later declared martyred in the Palestine Medical Complex.
The sources added that the occupation forces prevented the ambulance from transporting the injured and left him lying on the ground for a short period before allowing the ambulance to move him.
The Israeli army and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank during the two years of the genocide in Gaza, resulting in the martyrdom of 1,062 Palestinians and injuries to approximately 10,000 others, in addition to the arrest of more than 20,000 people, including 1,600 children.
The occupation forces also raided Askar Al-Jadid refugee camp east of Nablus city, amid firing of toxic tear gas bombs near the entrance of the camp, and clashes between Palestinian youths and the occupation army.
The Israeli forces also stormed the town of Deir Bzai'a in the Ramallah district, and raided Palestinian homes during their incursion into the Al-Azza refugee camp in Bethlehem in the southern West Bank.
Local sources reported that the occupation soldiers closed the tunnel road connecting the city of Qalqilyah to the town of Habla (south of the province) north of the West Bank, and added that settlers threw stones at Palestinian vehicles on Qadumim roundabout (east of Qalqilyah) north of the West Bank.
The occupation forces imposed a siege on Sinjil (north of Ramallah) Thursday evening and stormed the town after closing its northern entrance.
Mu'taz Tawafsha, the mayor of Sinjil, said, “The army of occupation closed the iron gate installed at the northern entrance of the town, at a time when its military vehicles invaded and positioned in the center of Sinjil, in an attempt to provoke the residents.”
He added, “The occupation has been closing for more than two years two main entrances to the town, with an iron gate and earth barricades, and does not allow entry through them at all.”
Since October 2023, the number of permanent and temporary barriers and gates, dividing Palestinian territories and imposing restrictions on the movement of Palestinians and goods, has reached about a thousand military barriers and gates. Among these barriers and gates, more than 243 iron gates have been erected during the genocide war on the Gaza Strip, according to the “Anti-Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority”.
