Khaberni - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan rejected statements by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz supporting Israel, reminding him of the martyrdom of about 60,000 innocents in Gaza and Tel Aviv's ongoing war of extermination and starvation against Palestinians, questioning whether Germany does not see this?
President Erdoğan, during a joint press conference today, Thursday, in Ankara with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, emphasized the necessity to restrain Israel and put an end to the genocide and famine in Gaza.
He explained that he exchanged views with Merz on regional and international issues, noting that Turkey since day one has highlighted the genocide in Gaza and placed it at the top of the international agenda, and has made intense efforts to achieve a ceasefire and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
He added, "We must put an end to the genocide and famine in Gaza through involving the German Red Cross and the Crescent Red Crescent in this process."
Don't you see this in Germany?
Erdoğan reaffirmed his opposition to the German Chancellor's statements supporting Israel, explaining that nearly 60,000 children, women, and elderly were killed as a result of Israeli attacks.
He confirmed that Hamas does not possess bombs and does not have nuclear weapons, but all these weapons are in Israel's hands, noting that Israel used these weapons, for instance, last night when it bombed Gaza again with these bombs.
He questioned: Don't you see this in Germany? Don't you follow these developments in Germany? Israel has always sought to subjugate Gaza through starvation and genocide, and it continues to do so even now.
He highlighted that there are threats preventing the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, and that the Crescent Red Crescent is unable to deliver food supplies there. Likewise, the Red Cross faces ongoing threats.
He mentioned that his country has tried so far to send over 100,000 tons of food supplies to Gaza, but this is not enough, stressing the need to continue these aids.
On October 10th, a ceasefire agreement in Gaza ended a two-year Israeli war, which left more than 68,000 martyrs and 170,000 injured, most of them women and children. Despite the agreement, Israel committed many breaches, and still imposes a strict siege on Gaza.
Since the commencement of the agreement between Hamas and Tel Aviv, mediated by Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and under the sponsorship of the United States, 211 martyrs and 597 injuries from Israeli raids and bombardments have occurred, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
