Chelsea Legend Liverpool Players Abandoned Salah

Khaberni - Dutchman Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, a former Chelsea player, believes that Egyptian star Mohamed Salah now appears "sullen" because Liverpool players no longer rely on him as they used to, amid a crisis of results that the English League champion is undergoing in the last month.

Liverpool has lost 4 consecutive matches in the Premier League, while Mohamed Salah scored his first goal in a month against Brentford during his team's 3-2 defeat in the last round of the Premier League.

Hasselbaink said on "Sky Sports": "Salah really needs to change his role on the field, and give others the chance to take responsibility, as coach Arne Slot is still looking for the best lineup he has to address the team's malfunctions."

He added: "The team now has a player who plays in position 10 (Florian Wirtz), so he is required to play differently than he used to, and in addition, Salah seems permanently angry because he is not playing well and is no longer the indispensable player."

He continued: "Usually, everyone passes the ball to Salah when he is available, but now there is Hugo Ekitike who relies on himself and tries to create his own opportunities, which is normal because the new player is trying to prove himself and his right to play with Liverpool."

The Egyptian star scored only 4 goals in 13 matches with Liverpool this season, appearing be a different player from last season when he scored 34 goals and made 23 decisive passes.
