Southampton's defense held firm against Arsenal's attack until Victor Giokeres managed to equalize for Arsenal in the 68th minute.
Five minutes before the end of regular time, Southampton snatched the winning goal through Shea Charles.
Chelsea Restores Its Honor
Within the same round, Chelsea thrashed its opponent Port Vale with a score of 7-0.
The goals for the Blues were scored by Jorel Hato, Joao Pedro, and Jordan Gabriel of Port Vale by mistake in his own net, along with Tosin, Andre Santos, Estevao, and Garnacho.
Chelsea restored its honor after losing in the Premier League by a score of 3-0 to Everton, just before the international break.
