Khaberni - As the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip worsens, the United Arab Emirates has continued its medical and relief efforts, executing a new emergency medical evacuation of 57 patients from the sector along with their families, bringing the total number of those transferred for treatment to 2,961 patients and companions since the launch of the “Gallant Knight 3” initiative in October 2023.
The evacuation, carried out via Ramon Airport in Israel and the Kerem Shalom crossing, is the twenty-ninth batch of emergency medical evacuation operations conducted by the UAE Agency for International Aid, following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, aimed at treating 1,000 Palestinian wounded and 1,000 cancer patients in UAE hospitals.
Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Deputy Director of the UAE Agency for International Aid, stated that the UAE's humanitarian efforts in Gaza continue at an accelerated pace, explaining that the medical teams continue their work in the floating hospital off the coast of El Arish city, and in the field hospital in the south of the sector, providing health care, treatment, medications, and medical supplies to hundreds of patients daily, especially children, women, and the elderly.
The “Gallant Knight 3” initiative confirms the continued UAE support for the Palestinian people in the toughest conditions, embodying the spirit of humanitarian solidarity that prioritizes the protection of civilians and the alleviation of their suffering, within a steadfast approach established by the leaders of the UAE since its founding.
