Plan to Remove Random Kiosks and Stalls in Jerash

Khaberni - Today, Wednesday, the Governor of Jerash, Dr. Malek Khreisat, chaired a meeting at the governorate building to discuss the necessary measures to address the phenomenon of the spread of random kiosks and stalls and street vendors on roadsides and critical junctions in the governorate.
Khreisat emphasized that the execution of a campaign for this purpose is out of concern for public order and the civilized appearance of the governorate, emphasizing that the measures will be organized and firm, in cooperation with the municipalities and the police directorate, to ensure traffic safety and preserve citizens' rights, market regulation, and curbing any violations on public roads.
The head of the Greater Jerash Municipality Committee, Mohammad Bani Yassin, stated that the municipality would intensify its efforts in the city center and vital areas to follow up on professional licenses and monitor non-compliant kiosks and stalls, emphasizing that the campaign aims to enforce order and ensure the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of citizens, through precise field monitoring to ensure compliance with the regulations.
During the meeting, a comprehensive field plan consisting of six phases was adopted, starting from Salhoob bridge to Princess Haya Military Hospital, passing through vital areas in the governorate, including conducting awareness campaigns for the owners of non-compliant kiosks and stalls, notifying them of the necessity to remove violations within the specified periods, and signing official pledges to ensure compliance.
According to the plan, an accurate database will be prepared for non-compliant locations, and licenses and permits for construction, electricity, and water will be verified to ensure the unification of procedures and reduce randomness.
