Khaberni - The Economic Court issued today, Wednesday, a ruling that sentences the content creator known as "Suzy the Jordanian" to one year in prison and fines her 100,000 EGP, after convicting her for broadcasting and publishing video clips considered "indecent to public morals".
According to the case documents, it was proven that the accused published via two accounts on the "TikTok" app, video clips and live broadcasts that contained swear words and phrases that offend public decency.
During one of the live broadcasts, she committed an indecent act in public, using offensive language contrary to public morals, which was documented and re-distributed on social media platforms.
According to what was stated in the monitoring records and investigations, the accused assaulted family values and principles in the Egyptian society through visual content that conflicts with public morals and decency.
Furthermore, the banks had received an official circular that enforces the decision of the Cairo Criminal Court to seize the funds and balances of Suzy the Jordanian and her parents, and preventing them from disposing of their cash, real estate, and movable properties, based on what the investigations revealed about their possession of controversial properties.
The Public Prosecution's investigations clarified that the seized items found with the accused included:
A mobile phone of type "iPhone 16 Pro Max" in gold color.
An apartment in the New Cairo area.
A cash amount of 139,682 EGP inside an "Etisalat Cash" wallet.
The court's decision came after monitoring the account named "Suzy the Jordanian" on the "TikTok" platform, which showed content contrary to the values and family customs of the Egyptian society, as confirmed by technical surveillance reports and security investigations.
The investigations revealed that the accused herself created and managed the account, and published through it clips containing phrases that offend public decency, which caused widespread discontent among users of social media inside and outside Egypt, and was considered an insult to the image of the Egyptian state.
After being summoned for investigation, the accused admitted to committing the acts attributed to her, according to the investigation records.
