Khaberni - Fares Abu Dayyeh, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Transportation, chaired the Jordanian delegation at the meetings of the Syrian-Jordanian Joint Technical Committee for Road Transport, which started today in the Syrian capital, Damascus, to discuss the current state of the transportation sector between the two countries and ways to develop cooperation and enhance integration in this vital field.

Abu Dayyeh emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation relations between Jordan and Syria in the field of road transportation, which directly contributes to supporting economic and commercial relations between the two brotherly countries. He noted that the Ministry of Transportation in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan pays special attention to facilitating the movement of trucks and passengers across the borders and developing supportive infrastructure for joint transport.

The meetings, which are attended by representatives from the Ministries of Transportation in both countries, address mechanisms to enhance the system of passenger and freight transportation, address challenges facing transit movements between the two sides, and discuss ways to activate cooperation in the field of railways, which contributes to enhancing the fluidity of transport movement and supporting trade exchange. These meetings come within the framework of continuous coordination between the two countries to strengthen integration in various transportation fields, achieve greater economic openness, and facilitate the movement of individuals and goods, serving shared interests and supporting regional connectivity.
