Khaberni - Exclusive
A rabbit from the Belgian Flanders breed has captivated attention on social media platforms in the Jordanian timeline, after the farmer Essam Al-Hourani displayed the rabbit he is raising in Irbid, northern Jordan, on his account.
Al-Hourani said in response to inquiries from "Khaberni" that the rabbit, which he considers to be one of the largest rabbits in Jordan, belongs to the Belgian Flanders breed and that these rabbits can reach very large sizes.
He noted that the giant rabbit weighs between 8-10 kilograms and is up to 10 months old, adding that the rabbit is a product of his own farm located in Irbid.
The Flanders rabbit, or the giant Flanders rabbit, belongs to a breed of large-sized rabbits, originally from Belgium, and is known for being gentle and friendly.
The weight of these rabbits can reach 10 kilograms or more, and they have historically been bred for meat and fur production, but are now kept as pets due to their calm nature and ease of handling.
