Khaberni - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Al-Safadi met on Monday with the Deputy Secretary of State for Foreign Assistance and Humanitarian Affairs and Religious Freedom, and the Director of the Office of Foreign Assistance in the United States, Jeremy Lewin.

Al-Safadi and Lewin discussed ways to strengthen the strategic relations between Jordan and the United States, and the developments in the region.

They also discussed efforts to maintain the ceasefire in Gaza, to immediately and sufficiently bring aid into the sector, and to ensure the implementation of all terms of the ceasefire agreement.

Al-Safadi renewed Jordan's appreciation for the efforts made by US President Donald Trump to reach a ceasefire agreement and his proposal to end the war in Gaza, introduce aid, reconstruction and prevent the displacement of Palestinians, and the firm stance of the American President against the annexation of the West Bank.
