Khaberni - Real Madrid player Jude Bellingham said he will do everything in his power to lead Real Madrid to victory over Barcelona in the season's first El Clasico on Sunday.
With Real Madrid topping the league standings, and Barcelona in second place by only two points, there’s a lot at stake at the Bernabeu Stadium where the rivalry between Spain’s two biggest teams is renewed.
The British news agency "PA Media" reported that Barcelona has dominated El Clasico, winning the last four matches in all competitions, including a 4-0 away victory.
This comes after Real Madrid won the three matches held in the season before last, but Bellingham is back in full readiness, after a shaky start to the season, and will do everything in his power to end his team's recent negative results.
Speaking to the club's TV channel, he said: "I think everyone understands that goals and victories in these matches mean a little more because they prepare you emotionally and mentally for the rest of the season."
Bellingham added: "Knowing that you can beat your biggest title rival makes you believe you can have a good season. I felt that in my first year. We want to feel it again, and that's why it's very important to win."
He explained: "I am strong and positive, and perhaps in the best physical condition I have been in for a long time. I am ready to do everything in my power and do whatever it takes for the team to win and continue the momentum we built during my absence. I hope to keep performing well, enjoy playing, and achieve victories."
