Khaberni - Fatah spokesman Abdel Fattah Dola said that any plan related to Palestine cannot succeed unless the Palestinian National Authority and its institutions are an integral part of it, emphasizing that the upcoming period requires a genuine understanding among Palestinian factions.
Dola added on Friday that the upcoming meetings between the factions must be based on a comprehensive and genuine national dialogue that relies on Palestinian constants, stressing that any success of Palestinian action must originate from the national constants that meet the aspirations of the Palestinian people.
Dola welcomed the presence of a UN-mandated international force operating in Gaza to ensure that the occupation does not return to the sector.
He noted that Fatah has the capabilities, plans, and programs necessary to manage the next stage, calling on the international community to fulfill its commitments and provide the necessary support to ensure the success of the sector management committee.
Palestinian factions meeting in Cairo announced that they had decided to hand over the Gaza Strip to a committee of independent technocrats from the Palestinians, according to a statement issued by them on Friday.
A statement by the factions, including Hamas, which began meetings a few days ago to discuss mechanisms for implementing the ceasefire reached between Hamas and Israel, stated that they had decided "to hand over the administration of the Gaza Strip to a temporary Palestinian committee of locals consisting of independent technocrats, who will manage life affairs and basic services in cooperation with Arab brothers and international institutions."
They also announced their approval of "establishing an international committee to oversee the funding and execution of the reconstruction of the sector, reaffirming the unity of the Palestinian political system and independent national decision."
