Khaberni - Former player Ahmed Hossam Mido made a controversial statement about the most popular club in Egypt.
Speaking on the program "Awdat al-Libs" aired on Al-Nahar Egyptian channel, responding to statements made by Yassin Mansour, a candidate for the presidency of Al-Ahli Club, who affirmed that 70% of the Egyptian audience are supporters of the red fortress.
He added: "Statistics and numbers of club supporters in Egypt are announced by companies that receive large amounts of money."
He continued: "Yassin Mansour made these statements as a form of marketing for Al-Ahli Club, especially during the election period."
He concluded: "It is possible that I tell Yassin Mansour that 70% of the supporters in Egypt belong to Zamalek, and it is up to him to prove whether the information is true or false."
