Khaberni - Emmanuel Petit, former French national and Arsenal player accused his compatriot Kylian Mbappe of "filling the Real Madrid locker room with selfishness" following the elimination of the Spanish giant by Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Real Madrid lost with a total score of 6-4 after an exciting second leg at the Allianz Arena, where they conceded two late goals following Eduardo Camavinga's red card.
Petit, in statements carried by the "Daily Mail", said: "It's not just Mbappe's fault, but his coming filled the Real Madrid locker room with selfishness. It's a disaster."
Petit also noted that Paris Saint-Germain, the reigning Champions League holders, had become stronger since Mbappe's departure in 2024.
Petit further mentioned about his compatriot: "The timing is completely against him. Ever since Paris Saint-Germain started playing as one team, their performance has been amazing. They are united, like the fingers on a hand."
This is not the first time Petit has criticized his compatriot Mbappe, as he had previously accused him of seeking fame, and said that he does not deserve to lead the French national team after the defeat of "Les Bleus" against Spain in the semi-finals of Euro 2024.
