Khaberni - Emmanuel Petit, a former French national team and Arsenal player, accused his compatriot Kylian Mbappé of "filling the Real Madrid dressing room with selfishness" following the Spanish giant's exit from the Champions League by Bayern Munich.
Real Madrid lost with a total score of 6-4 in the two-legged tie after a dramatic second leg at the Allianz Arena, where they conceded two late goals following Eduardo Camavinga's red card.
Petit said in statements carried by the "Daily Mail": It's not just Mbappé at fault, but his arrival filled the Real Madrid dressing room with selfishness. It's a disaster.
Petit also pointed out that Paris Saint-Germain, the current Champions League holder, has grown stronger since Mbappé's departure in 2024.
Petit added about his compatriot: The timing is completely against him. Since Paris Saint-Germain started playing as a unified team, their performance has been astonishing. They are all united, like the fingers of a hand.
This is not the first time Petit has criticized his fellow countryman Mbappé, as he previously accused him of pursuing fame and stated that he does not deserve to lead the French national team after the "Roosters" defeated Spain in the semi-finals of Euro 2024.
