Khaberni - Dermatologists at Prince Hashem bin Hussein Military Hospital in Zarqa Governorate, under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Doctor Ahmed Al-Warawreh, a first specialist in dermatology diseases and surgery, performed non-cultured melanocyte (Melanocyte Non-Cultured Transplant) transplant operations on a number of patients using modern techniques.
Lieutenant Colonel Doctor Ahmed Al-Warawreh explained that these operations are performed for patients with stable, localized vitiligo resistant to treatment, where melanocytes are separated from a healthy area of the patient's body and transplanted into the affected area, under sterilization conditions and precise medical standards.
He clarified that the initial results showed significant improvement in skin color uniformity and the restoration of natural pigmentation in the affected areas.
The hospital director, Brigadier General Doctor Hamza Al-Abadi, confirmed that these operations are part of the Royal Medical Services policy to introduce modern technologies in peripheral hospitals, to serve patients and alleviate their burdens.
