Khaberni - French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez mentioned that the major robbery that occurred this morning at the Louvre Museum in Paris lasted only seven minutes.
The minister stated in statements to the French media that "three or four" thieves carried out the heist within "seven minutes".
Nunez pointed out that they entered the museum from the outside using a "crane" placed on the back of a truck to enter the "Apollo Gallery", where they focused their efforts on "two display cabinets".
According to the minister, they "stole priceless jewels" with "heritage value".
Reports indicated that the unknown thieves stole nine pieces from Napoleon and Empress Eugenie's jewelry collection, including a necklace, an ornamental pin, and a tiara, before the Empress's tiara was found near the museum, having suffered partial damage during the robbery.
The Paris prosecutor's office reported the opening of an investigation on charges of theft by an organized gang and formation of a gang to commit a crime, with the investigations being assigned to the "Anti-Crime Brigade of the Judicial Police, supported by the Central Office for Combating Trafficking in Cultural Property", adding that the exact damage is "currently being assessed".
