Jordan Citizen in Irbid slaughters a camel in celebration of his acquittal Picture

Khaberni - A citizen in the city of Irbid celebrated by slaughtering a camel as an expression of his joy after a court ruling that found him not responsible in a case filed against him, which could lead to a prison sentence of up to 20 years if convicted.

This celebration is an unconventional way to express joy and psychological relief after a long period of anxiety and stress associated with the case.

Eye witnesses confirmed that the citizen, who preferred to remain anonymous, began his celebration immediately following the judicial decision, joined by a number of relatives and friends, in a striking scene that generated extensive interaction among locals and social media users.
One of the attendees said, "This situation reflects the magnitude of joy after his innocence was proven from serious charges that he greatly feared."

The defense for the citizen was handled by lawyer Hatem Bani Hamad, who explained that “the judicial decision came after presenting a comprehensive defense, based on evidence and testimonies that proved my client's innocence. We are pleased with this verdict which embodies justice and fairness.”

He added that such cases, which could result in up to twenty years of imprisonment if convicted, exert significant psychological pressure on the accused and their families, noting that the decision represents a significant relief in their lives.
