Last Thursday, Jordan sent a new humanitarian aid convoy to Lebanon by royal directives, within the context of the ongoing response to the humanitarian situations in the brotherly republic.
The convoy consists of 15 trucks including food items, medicine, and relief materials, according to the general secretary of the Hashemite Jordanian Charity Organization, Hussein Al-Shibli.
Al-Shibli pointed out that this convoy confirms the immutable humanitarian role of the Kingdom in supporting the brotherly states in times of crises, carried out by the Hashemite Jordanian Charity Organization in cooperation with the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army, and coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs.
He highlighted that the Jordanian action comes as a response to an urgent humanitarian duty, emphasizing that this effort will not be temporary but is a continuous commitment we will maintain as long as there is a need.
He explained that this step is an extension of Jordanian efforts to support the Lebanese brethren, which included sending relief aid, with the latest being a convoy in March comprising 25 trucks, based on royal directives to support the Lebanese people amid difficult circumstances.
