Khaberni - Today, Thursday, 10 modest families in the Abu Alanda area of the capital governorate received their new homes as part of the royal initiative for housing modest families, launched under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II during his field visits and communication meetings with citizens and dignitaries of the governorates.
The head of the Royal Hashemite Court, Yusuf Hassan Al-Essawi, chairman of the committee following up on His Majesty's initiatives, handed over the keys of the residential apartments and certificates of benefit to the beneficiary families in the presence of the Minister of Public Works and Housing, Engineer Maher Abu Al-Semn, the Minister of Social Development, Wafa Bani Mustafa, the Governor of the Capital, Yasser Al-Adwan, the Director General of the Housing and Urban Development Corporation, Jumana Al-Attiyah, and the Director of the Jordan Office at the Emirates' International Charity Organization, Raed Sabri Abu Alfa.
During the handover, Al-Essawi conveyed His Majesty's greetings to the beneficiary families and affirmed that the initiative is part of the Hashemite leadership's efforts to improve the living conditions of Jordanians and embodies the royal earnestness to support needy citizens and provide a suitable residential environment that ensures their stability and human dignity.
He stated that the initiative for housing modest families aims to provide dignified housing for families that do not own a home according to the standards adopted by the Ministry of Social Development.
He added that the initiative came under royal directives to meet the needs of the neediest families, prioritizing the most vulnerable groups such as families of widows, orphans, and those with disabled members.
He noted that the royal initiative continues to support deserving families, explaining that the initiative has provided about three thousand homes so far, in addition to more than 1000 residential units currently being implemented in phases across various governorates of the Kingdom, contributing to a dignified and stable life for these families.
It is worth mentioning that the initiative for housing modest families, launched in 2005 under the directives of His Majesty during his field visits and communication meetings with citizens and dignitaries of the governorates, is a practical translation of His Majesty's vision in securing a dignified and stable life for the most needy families in various regions of the Kingdom.
