Khaberni - In a gesture that was widely appreciated, a Jordanian girl from Ma'an governorate gave up the allure of gold and settled for buying silver worth 350 dinars, even though her documented dowry in the marriage contract amounted to 4000 dinars, before her scheduled wedding date in less than two months.
The bride stated that her goal from this action is to ease the burden on her life partner, who works in the private sector and earns a monthly salary of 420 dinars, explaining that marital happiness is not measured by money or the value of gold.
A jewelry shop owner posted a video of the silver set the bride bought, extending his congratulations to the couple.
