Khaberni - The Traffic Management, in collaboration with the Jordanian Association for Marathons "Run for Jordan" (Run Jordan), has announced that coinciding with the start of "Amman Promen Marathon", a plan for road closures and traffic diversions in the capital Amman will be announced next Friday, as follows:

The road extending from Al-Mahatta Complex through Al-Jaysh Street in both directions, Al-Hashemiya Square, Quraysh Street, Ali bin Abi Talib Street to Al-Muhajireen signals, passing through Omar Matar Street, King Talal Street, and Hashemi Street, will be closed from twelve midnight until twelve noon, within the route of the 42 km (individual/relay) and 21 km races.

Additionally, Queen Alia Street will be completely closed between the Sports City Roundabout and the Interior Roundabout starting from six in the morning, along with Queen Noor Street between the Interior Roundabout and the Fourth Circle starting from seven in the morning.

The closures will also include Aqaba bin Nafi Street and Princess Basma Street entirely from seven in the morning until twelve noon, within the route of the 10 km race which starts at nine in the morning.

The Traffic Management has confirmed that it has taken all the traffic measures necessary to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and to provide alternative routes that facilitate the citizens' access to downtown and the western areas of Amman, noting that its crews will be deployed along the race routes to provide assistance and guidance to road users and ensure compliance with traffic signs and instructions.
