Khaberni - The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, Shadi Ramzi Al-Majali, the Governor of Aqaba, Ayman Al-Awaisheh, the Commissioner of Environmental and Public Safety Affairs, Nidal Al-Auran, and the directors of security agencies in Aqaba visited the Prince Hashim Military Hospital and the Islamic Hospital in Aqaba to check on the victims of the gas leak incident that occurred last night, Tuesday, at one of the industrial facilities in the Southern Industrial Area.
During the visit, Al-Majali and Al-Awaisheh reviewed the health status of the victims and listened to a briefing by the medical staff about their conditions and the medical procedures being followed to ensure their full recovery.
They expressed their wishes for a speedy recovery for all the injured, praising the efforts of the medical staff and the security agencies that dealt quickly and efficiently with the accident.
The Governor of Aqaba, Ayman Al-Awaisheh, has announced an increase in the number of victims in the sulfuric acid vapor leak incident inside one of the factories in Aqaba Governorate to 43 injuries, confirming that all cases are under medical control.
Al-Awaisheh clarified that six of the injured are in medium to good health condition, and they will be placed under medical observation for 24 hours according to the adopted medical protocol, noting that the rest of the injuries are in good condition and have been handled on-site or within hospitals.
