Khaberni - The President of the Amman and Jordan Chambers of Industry, Engineer Fathi Al-Jaghbeer, emphasized the importance of enhancing meetings between the Jordanian and Moroccan private sectors in boosting trade exchange between the two countries, during a visit by the Parliamentary Energy and Mineral Resources Committee delegation headed by MP Dr. Ayman Abu Hanieh to the Kingdom of Morocco, which included, in addition to committee members, Dr. Islam Al-Azazmeh, Engineer Mai Al-Harahsheh, Engineer Khader Bani Khalid, Engineer Rakin Abu Hanieh, and MP Saleh Abu Tayeh.
During this visit, Al-Jaghbeer called for a meeting with Mr. Hassan Barakaty, President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services in Casablanca, to establish an advanced industrial partnership between Jordan and Morocco. The meeting reflected the depth of fraternal relations between Jordan and Morocco, during which mechanisms to increase the volume of bilateral trade between the countries and enhance the concept of commercial substitution were discussed, supporting national industries and adding value to both economies.
In addition, during the meeting, the cooperation in the field of energy storage battery manufacturing and the transfer of expertise in energy-related industries were discussed, along with benefiting from the Moroccan experience in the automotive sector. At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to organize a visit for a delegation from the Moroccan private sector to Jordan to explore available investment opportunities and discuss the possibilities of establishing strategic partnerships.
The visit also included a meeting with the Minister of Industry and Trade in the Kingdom of Morocco, Riyad Mezour, during which they discussed joint investment opportunities, especially in developing green industrial zones and enhancing manufacturing industries linked to the mining sector, and building integrated industrial value chains between the two countries that create high added value and provide sustainable job opportunities.

The Jordanian delegation confirmed the importance of benefiting from the Moroccan experience in developing industrial zones and attracting major investments, linking industrial policies with energy policies to enhance the competitiveness of industrial products in global markets. It was also emphasized the necessity of moving from exporting raw materials to manufacturing them locally, which plays a pivotal role in supporting the national economy and enhancing growth.
At the end of the meeting, the importance of aligning industrial and energy policies, developing investment incentives, and removing legislative and regulatory barriers to enhance economic partnership between the two countries and achieve mutual interests was affirmed.

During a meeting with the Moroccan Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, Leila Benali, both sides discussed accelerating the procedures for preparing and signing a joint cooperation agreement in the field of renewable energy between their ministries, which opens the space for launching joint projects in solar energy, wind energy, energy storage, and green hydrogen, thereby enhancing investment opportunities and expertise transfer between the two sides, especially since Jordan possesses advanced components in the energy sector including stable electrical infrastructure and increasing shares of renewable energy contribution, in addition to a strategic location that qualifies it to be a regional hub for energy connection, emphasizing that the priority in the coming phase focuses on reducing the cost of energy on the industrial sector and enhancing network efficiency and developing energy storage solutions.

The Jordanian delegation during the visit held a meeting with the Vice President of the Moroccan House of Representatives, Mr. Mohamed Ghyath, and the Production Sectors Committee of the Moroccan House of Representatives led by Abdul Aziz Lachheb. The meeting discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of energy and production sectors and explored mechanisms for exchanging expertise that serves the economic directions of both brotherly countries.

Al-Jaghbeer praised the concern of the Parliamentary Energy Committee represented by its president and members for including a representative of the chambers of industry in the visit to the brotherly Kingdom of Morocco, affirming that this reflects the council's commitment to enhancing the partnership between the council and the chambers of industry, especially under local and regional exceptional economic conditions that require cooperation and coordination, according to the economic modernization vision that forms the basis of our economic and participatory journey. He explained that the industrial sector is the main driver of comprehensive economic growth, for its characteristics of intertwining and interdependence with all other economic sectors.
