Khaberni - Deputy Talal Al-Nasour called for an urgent and radical solution to the problem of the proliferation of stray dogs in Jordan.
During the parliamentary government meeting held on Tuesday to discuss the stray dogs issue, he said: "Let's lower our standards to the level of dogs a bit"... "When a human commits a crime they are legally punished and imprisoned, whereas a stray dog is not punished."
Al-Nasour emphasized the alarming statistics, noting that "there are 5,000 recorded cases of dog bites in Jordan, and this is not a matter to be silent about".
