Saudi Astronomy Team Observes Helix Nebula

Khaberni - A Saudi astronomy team has been able to observe and document the "Helix" planetary nebula with high precision in the skies of Rafha Governorate in the Northern Border region, using advanced astronomical imaging techniques, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Burjis Al-Falih, a member of the Afaq Astronomy Association, explained that the "Helix" nebula is one of the closest bright planetary nebulae to Earth, located about 700 light-years away, and is scientifically known as NGC 7293 in the constellation Aquarius.

Al-Falih noted that astronomical phenomena are not just stunning visual scenes that decorate the sky at night, but they carry significant scientific dimensions that help understand the formation of the universe and the evolution of stars.

It is noted that the skies of Rafha are among the purest and darkest regions, naturally, in the Kingdom, making it an ideal environment for observing celestial bodies, exploring the depths of space, and observing its amazing phenomena.
