Khaberni - Deputy Hussein Al-Amoush posed a parliamentary question to His Excellency the Minister of Health, based on the provisions of Article (96) from the Constitution and in accordance with the provisions of Article (123) of the internal regulations of the House of Representatives, concerning the mechanism and conditions for the bidding of government tenders for purchasing medicines for hospitals, health centers, and facilities affiliated with the Ministry of Health.
The parliamentary question included several inquiries, notably:
1. What is the mechanism and basis and conditions for issuing government tenders regarding the purchase of medicines?
2. Have there been tenders issued for purchasing medicines on behalf of the Ministry of Health that have been executed for unregistered drugs in the Jordan Food and Drug Corporation?
3. Have foreign medicines been purchased without being registered and approved by the Jordan Food and Drug Corporation?
4. How many drugs and types have been purchased in this non-compliant manner without formally registering them in the Jordan Food and Drug Corporation?
Deputy Al-Amoush demanded from the Minister of Health to provide him with clear and detailed answers to these questions, emphasizing the importance of transparency in government procurement procedures and ensuring that the drugs comply with the specifications approved by the respective regulatory authorities.
