Khaberni - Media reports have revealed fascinating details concerning Lamine Yamal's relationship with Barcelona FC, and the increasing role of his father in decision-making related to the young star’s future at the Catalan club.
French journalist Romain Molina stated that amidst pressures and tempting offers from major European clubs, namely Paris Saint-Germain, there are numerous indicators revealing the nature of the international player's relationship with the Catalan club.
Molina explained that Yamal's father has become increasingly influential on his son and on Barcelona's management recently, due to growing media and sporting interest in the player, noting that his financial and moral demands have doubled over time.
He cited an example of this when the player's father demanded that Barcelona give his son greater support in the Ballon d'Or race, considering that the club was focusing on supporting Raphinha during that period, which led to a clear change in the club’s media line and internal support within the club and even in the Spanish Football Federation.
He pointed out that some Barcelona players have not accepted this situation in the locker room, especially since the club's philosophy is based on collective effort, but everyone is avoiding conflict with Lamine Yamal's family due to their growing influence.
Molina also mentioned that the club has started to agree to most of the family's requests, including personal matters such as the use of private jets or special arrangements in travel and accommodation, although some of these requests complicate the team's organizational matters.
Molina added that the problem is not with the player himself, but with those around him who are caught up in the dazzle of sudden fame, with everyone eager to gain the favor of those close to the influential and wealthy.
Regarding the financial aspect, Molina clarified that Lamine Yamal, who has not yet reached eighteen, has nevertheless signed a huge sponsorship contract with Adidas worth between 30 and 40 million euros, while his family received more than 2.5 million euros from famous player agent Jorge Mendes for signing with him, while his new contract with Barcelona extends until 2031, and includes a large annual loyalty bonus, with an annual salary ranging between 15 and 20 million euros when considering incentives and advertising rights.
Molina concluded that Paris Saint-Germain considers Yamal a future priority and plans to move to sign him in the coming years, regardless of the cost, convinced that the player represents one of the most prominent global talents in the new generation.
