City Stumbles and Arsenal Nears Premier League Title

Khaberni - Arsenal scored a dramatic win against Everton, and their chaser Manchester City faltered in round 30 of the English Premier League, moving "The Gunners" an additional step closer to the Premier League title, as the gap widened to 9 points between the two teams.

Arsenal maintained their lead in the league, winning 2-0 at home against Everton at the Emirates Stadium.

The match remained goalless until the 89th minute when Swedish striker Victor Gyokeres scored Arsenal’s first goal.

In the minute (90+7), Max Douman scored the second goal for Arsenal.

Arsenal's points rose to 70 at the top of the Premier League, while Everton's tally remained frozen at 43 points in the eighth position.

Manchester City Falters

Manchester City failed to recover from the impact of Real Madrid’s triplet, which they received last Wednesday in the Champions League, as they stumbled again at West Ham United (1-1), putting their hopes for the Premier League title in jeopardy.

With this result, City’s points rose to 61, second in the Premier League standings, 9 points behind the leader Arsenal, who played one more match.

West Ham United also increased their points to 29, temporarily in the 17th position.

The visitors opened the scoring today after Egyptian international Omar Marmoush passed the ball on the left side to his Portuguese teammate, Bernardo Silva, who shot a beautiful lofted ball over the goalkeeper into the net in the 31st minute.

However, the Hammers quickly equalized in the 35th minute through Greek player Konstantinos Mavropanos with a header.

Chelsea Falls at Home to Newcastle

In the same round, Newcastle United won against their host Chelsea, with a clean sheet, at Stamford Bridge.

The match's only goal was scored by player Anthony Gordon in the 18th minute.

Newcastle’s points rose to 42 in the ninth position, while Chelsea’s tally remained at 48 points in the fifth position.

Chelsea had suffered a harsh defeat against Paris Saint-Germain with a score of 2-5 in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16.

Brighton also won against Sunderland, with a score of one-nil, while the match between Burnley and Bournemouth ended in a goalless draw.
