Khaberni - The Jordan Football Association, decided to appoint Moroccan coach Lamia Boumehdi, to lead the Nashmiyyat team, in addition to naming her as the assistant to the technical director for women’s football affairs and supervisor of the women’s national teams, as the Jordanian association continues to utilize the Moroccan school of coaching following the hiring of Moroccan coaches for the men's national team, namely El Houcine Ammouta and his successor Jamal Sellami.
Boumehdi has a rich professional career in coaching and technical management, where she led the women's team at TP Mazembe in the Democratic Republic of the Congo during the period 2022–2025, and she also coached the women’s national team of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 2025, in addition to overseeing the football school affiliated with the club.
Boumehdi also worked within the National Technical Administration of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation between 2016 and 2022, as well as overseeing programs for training and qualifying female coaches in Morocco.
Throughout her career, she has led several Moroccan national youth teams, and she was also the coach of the Moroccan senior women's national team in 2020.
Boumehdi holds several coaching certificates accredited by the Confederation of African Football, most notably the CAF A coaching license, and she is also an accredited lecturer with the Confederation.
Throughout her coaching career, she has achieved many accomplishments, including winning the African Women's Champions League with TP Mazembe in 2024, and receiving the award for Best Coach in Women's Football in Africa for the years 2024 and 2025, in addition to being nominated among the top three coaches in Africa in 2025.
