Khaberni - The Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities concluded the implementation of the intensive training program "Digital Beginning", from the platform for digital media innovation, which aims to deepen the understanding of digital media and its modern tools for people with disabilities.
The program was executed with the participation of 9 specialized trainers, targeting 12 participants with visual, hearing, and physical disabilities, to provide them with the necessary knowledge to enhance their understanding of the rights-based approach in media coverage, and the importance of producing specialized digital content that reaches the audience representing the voices of people with disabilities on public issues as citizens and their own issues towards an inclusive society.
The program included a detailed explanation about the digital reality of the media, and the changes that accompanied the content production process in the world, and specifically in the Arab world, related directly to the change in the form of news production and publishing, changing ways the audience consumes information and news, the spread of data, and diversification of publishing platforms, specifically in the context of the spread of misinformation and misleading information, and the necessity to develop digital content and keep up with technological and digital evolution, through diversifying content forms, and sources of verification
