Khaberni - Michelle Obama revealed a humorous and embarrassing side of her marital life with former President Barack Obama, noting that his way of chewing food sometimes drives her to feel like slapping him.
During an episode of her podcast "IMO," the former first lady (61 years old) had a conversation with marriage therapist Dr. Orna Guralnik, discussing her daily life after her home became empty of children following the departure of her daughters Sasha (24 years old) and Malia (27 years old).
Michelle explained that she and her husband Barack (64 years old) were used to having children as a constant topic of discussion, but now with their absence, the conversation between them has become less frequent, noting that dinner sessions have become quieter and more silent than before.
During the discussion, the therapist asked her to honestly express how she feels while sitting with her husband, to which Michelle surprised the listeners with her humorous confession: "The way you chew makes me want to slap you on your head!" confirming that this habit is not only annoying to her but that their daughters have also noticed it.
She added with a smile that she probably won't confront him about it directly, but she sees that exchanging honesty between spouses is important to maintain the strength of the relationship.
Michelle also discussed the difficulties they face as a couple under the public eye, explaining: "Even when things are good, married life is still a bit difficult," referring to the pressures associated with public life.
It is worth mentioning that Michelle and Barack Obama got married in 1992, and over more than thirty years, they have managed to build a stable relationship despite the challenges, navigating between public responsibilities and private life, along with raising their daughters Sasha and Malia.
