Khaberni -The Ministry of Education announced on Sunday, the school calendar for the upcoming academic year 2025-2026 for public schools, noting that this calendar is in line with the requirements of the national plan to address the educational loss among students.
According to the announced calendar, the teaching staff will start on Sunday, August 17th next, while school books will be distributed to students and registration procedures for transferred students will be completed on Wednesday and Thursday, August 20th and 21st, with the students’ term starting on Sunday, August 24th next.
The final achievement tests for the first semester for basic education students and students in eleventh and twelfth grades will be held from Thursday, December 18th next until Thursday, January 8th next, followed by the winter break which will last from Sunday, January 11th until Thursday, January 22nd, 2026.
According to the ministry, the second semester will start on Sunday, January 25th, 2026, while the final achievement tests for the second semester for twelfth-grade students will be held from Wednesday, May 6th until Sunday, May 24th, 2026, and for basic education students and eleventh graders from Saturday, June 6th until Thursday, June 25th, 2026.
The summer vacation for students will begin on Sunday, June 28th, 2026, and procedures for preparing the results and school certificates will be completed on Sunday, corresponding to July 1st, 2026.
The ministry indicated that the number of official workdays during the next academic year will be 215 days.
