Pakistan Death toll from heavy rains rises to 104

Khaberni - 104 individuals have died and at least 200 have been injured in various incidents due to the heavy downpour of monsoon rains across Pakistan.
According to the Pakistani news agency, a spokesperson for the disaster management agency said today, Sunday, that the heavy monsoon rains and the resulting floods have caused several incidents and significant material damage in different areas of the country since June 26, with 49 children, 37 men, and 18 women being killed due to the adverse weather conditions, with damage to nine bridges and about ten kilometers of roads. The greatest damage was to residential buildings, with 413 homes being partially or completely destroyed.
The disaster management authority has issued directives to local authorities to intensify relief and emergency operations in the affected areas, emphasizing the necessity to take proactive measures to reduce the extent of damage in the coming days which are expected to see further rainfalls in several parts of the country.
