On a day when determination is renewed, and the saga of glories is told, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Radio and its affiliated stations — Radio Amman FM and Greater Irbid Radio — launch a joint national broadcast, the largest of its kind, commemorating the seventy-ninth anniversary of the independence of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on Sunday, May 25, 2025, starting from 8 AM to midnight, a continuous 16-hour live broadcast.
This national broadcast features an elite selection of Jordanian national radios: Jordan University Radio, Classical FM, Hala Amman, Voice of the South, Voice of Aqaba, Tafila Technical University, Voice of Madaba, Voice of Karak, FM, Army FM, Radio Al-Laqa, Voice of Mafraq University, Voice of Zarqa, Al-Balad Radio, Radio of the Jordan Armed Forces – the Arab Army, and Tourism FM, in media unity that embodies the unity of national media message and the spirit of allegiance to the nation's flag
From the capital Amman to the farthest points in the north and south, the radio launches the largest network of delegates and reporters to cover the official and popular celebration atmospheres in various provinces and cities, documenting moment by moment scenes of pride and joy, with the voice of the nation, for the nation.
In a pioneering step towards digitizing radio content, this exceptional coverage is broadcasted through social media platforms and the official pages of the radio, reaching every Jordanian at home and in all countries around the world, narrating the story of independence as it should be told: with the voice of its lovers, and the beating heart of Jordan.
According to Jordanian Radio director Mr. Mohannad Safadi: "Since its establishment, Jordan Radio has celebrated the anniversary of independence. It has never been just a media outlet, but has been and will remain the voice of the nation, narrating the tales of its glory. We continue this year, as every year, to accompany this dear occasion through comprehensive coverage and joint national broadcasting with elite partner Jordanian radios, in a form that reflects the unity of national Jordanian media."
He added: "In line with the state's directives for media digitization, we directed our teams to transfer the efforts made on-air to the digital space, to interact with Jordanians everywhere via social media platforms, allowing the independence celebrations to be present in every home, screen, and phone."
Safadi confirmed that the radio "owns the largest network of delegates and reporters spread across the capital and all provinces and cities of the kingdom, all working with love, belonging, and dedication, to deliver the pulse of the Jordanian street and its celebrations to listeners and viewers with utmost professionalism and proficiency."
He concluded by saying: "We extend the highest greetings to His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II, and to the noble Jordanian people on this glorious anniversary, and we pledge to the nation that Radio of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan will remain a voice for truth as named by the late great Hussein bin Talal, God bless his soul, a guardian of identity and a mirror of achievements."
